Asbestos Investigation/Clearance
Asbestos Air Sampling (personal & site air monitoring)
A Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE)-certified Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS) can provide oversight, including asbestos air monitoring, for indoor and outdoor asbestos abatement projects. Personal air monitoring can also be provided for workers that may come in contact with asbestos-containing materials (ACM).

Asbestos Building Inspection (bulk sampling)
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)- and State of Colorado-compliant investigations offered for suspect asbestos-containing materials (ACM) for small renovations, restorations, and demolitions for residential, commercial, and school buildings. Building material samples will be collected by an EPA- and Colorado-certified asbestos building inspector and submitted to a CDPHE-licensed laboratory for asbestos analysis.

Asbestos Construction/Demolition Oversight (asbestos in soil)
A Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE)-certified Asbestos Building Inspector (CABI), can provide construction and demolition oversight for projects involving excavations in areas known or suspected to contain underground utilities and/or building debris with asbestos-containing materials (ACM).

Asbestos Phase Contrast Microscopy Air Sample Analysis
Upon collecting phase contrast microscopy (PCM) air samples as part of an asbestos post-abatement clearance, personal monitoring, or site monitoring, Stewart Environmental can analyze the samples on site for the fastest possible results.
Stewart Environmental is a Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE)-certified asbestos laboratory, and successfully participates in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) Program for determining concentrations of airborne asbestos fibers. Our personnel are National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) 582-certified to sample and evaluate airborne asbestos by PCM.

Asbestos Post-Abatement Final Visual and Air Clearance Sampling
Once asbestos-containing materials have been identified, it may be required that a General Abatement Contractor (GAC) remove (abate) the materials. After asbestos abatement, it is sometimes required, and always recommended, that an asbestos clearance be performed before re-occupying a space.

Stewart Environmental offers State of Colorado-compliant asbestos post-abatement final visual and air clearances for residential, commercial, and school buildings that will be performed by a Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE)-certified Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS). Once a contained work area passes visual inspection, air samples will be collected and submitted to a CDPHE-licensed laboratory for analysis. Upon passing the air sampling portion of the clearance, the containment can be taken down, and the area is deemed safe for re-occupancy.

Asbestos Spill Identification and Delineation
Stewart Environmental can identify asbestos contamination (spill) and delineate the extents of impact with visual investigation, surface sampling, and/or air sampling.
